Easy Way to Peel Potatoes
I have seen this easy method online and though about sharing this with everyone else. I tried this method and it really worked and made life easier.
All you need to do is insert a cut across the potato.
Make sure the cut is not deep and try to meet the ends of the cuts. Then in the pan or cooker boil them as you usually do it.
Remove hot water from the pot and fill in with cold water. Once you can handle the potatoes just start peeling. They will come out as big peels instead of small messy bits.

I read a tip today on cleaning potatoes (if you are doing a lot of them) and to put them through the dishwasher on a short cycle with no detergent, have you tried that?
Not dared to lol.. Anyways I used the washed version so they don’t need much of scrubbing
That’s what I do too :-). We grow Jerusalem artichokes and they are a pain to wash so I might try those in the dishwasher next season
