Not a North Indian or find it very hard to make Indian flat breads – Roti/ Paratha? or just lazy or time pressed then this recipe is for you..
Disclaimer: Lot’s of people are posting this recipe as Liquid Paratha, if you have ever eaten a paratha, then let me tell you – this is not even close to a paratha, it’s more like a crepe, thin roti or a dosa but not a paratha, thus, I have named it Imitation paratha.
I have made Dill roti’s but you can make plain roti’s or other variations like Salt and Ajwain; Palak; Methi; and many more.
These roti’s remain soft for a longer duration of time so are best options for lunch boxes, picnics or make ahead. It’s easy to make and saves you the hassle of kneading the dough and rolling it perfect.
Liquid Dill Paratha
- 1 cup Wheat Flour (Atta)
- 1 3/4 cup Water
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1/2 cup Dill (Soa/Suva)
- In a mixing bowl take flour and add salt, garam masala and dill to it, mix lightly.
- Start adding water gradually and whisking the batter. The batter should be a pouring consistency.
- Heat a pan and once the pan is hot pour a ladle full of batter and cook like roti.
- Once bubbles are formed flip the roti and cook.
- Cook on both sides till completely cooked and brown spots appear.
- Serve with Chutney, Dal, Vegetables, etc.
